In response to media reports that Germany is allegedly studying China’s vulnerabilities for a potential trade war, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said on Wednesday that both sides should strengthen communication and cooperation and achieve common development.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg News reported that Germany is mapping out vulnerabilities in China’s supply chains that could serve as leverage in a possible trade war with China.<\/p>\n

In a response, Mao said that in the era of economic globalization, it is perfectly normal for countries’ industries to have mutual needs and demands.<\/p>\n

“China and Germany are comprehensive strategic partners, and mutual benefit and win-win outcomes form the foundation of China-Germany cooperation<\/a>,” she said at a daily press conference in Beijing.<\/p>\n
