(Image credit: Instagram) Porsche sealed the 2025-26 Formula E Manufacturers’ World Championship after a strong performance in the Tokyo double-header, securing the title with two races still left in the season. While the German manufacturer has wrapped up one crown, the Drivers’ and Teams’ Championships will now be decided at the season-ending London E-Prix.

Porsche crowned Formula E Manufacturers’ champions with two races to spare

Porsche collected 64 points across the two races in Tokyo. Dan Ticktum’s victory on Saturday for customer team Cupra Kiro and Andretti driver Jake Dennis’ two podium finishes helped the German manufacturer build an unbeatable lead.Porsche’s own drivers, Pascal Wehrlein and Nico Muller, had a difficult weekend and failed to score big points. However, the performances of customer teams Andretti and Cupra Kiro were enough for Porsche to retain the Manufacturers’ World Championship. The title comes in Porsche’s 75th anniversary year and marks the second consecutive season that the company has won the Manufacturers’ crown. Last year, Porsche beat Jaguar and Nissan to the title, and this season it has extended its dominance with all six drivers using Porsche-powered cars reaching the podium at least once.

Porsche director praises entire team

Florian Modlinger, Director Factory Motorsport Formula E, thanked everyone involved in the project after the title win.”A big thank you to our development team, the factory team and our customer teams, who helped Porsche secure a second Manufacturers’ World Championship title,” Florian Modlinger, Director Factory Motorsport Formula E, said about the accomplishment.”I’m really proud of everyone involved in this project. On our side, we came away with four valuable points thanks to Nico’s seventh-place finish. It could have been more after making the right call to switch to dry tyre pressures, but the time lost in the pits due to a procedural error ultimately limited us to seventh. Without that, he could have been in the fight for the win or a podium. On Pascal’s side, it was another tough day. However, it’s still all to play for.”Manufacturers’ standingsPorsche have an unbeatable 448 points, giving them a massive 97-point lead over second-placed Jaguar (351). Stellantis are third with 243 points, followed by Mahindra (208), Nissan (178) and Lola (85).

Formula E Drivers’ title race goes to London

Although Porsche have secured the Manufacturers’ title, the Drivers’ Championship remains wide open.Andretti’s Jake Dennis leads the standings with 146 points, just two points ahead of Jaguar’s Mitch Evans (144). Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein is third with 141 points, only five behind the leader after failing to score in both Tokyo races.Oliver Rowland is fourth with 132 points, while Mahindra Racing’s Edoardo Mortara rounds out the top five with 116 points. With 58 points still available in the final two races in London, several drivers remain in contention for the championship.Teams’ Championship also undecidedThe Teams’ Championship is also set for an exciting finish. Porsche trail Jaguar TCS Racing by 14 points, with both teams missing the chance to extend their advantage during the Tokyo double-header.Also read: Formula E champions: Past winners as London prepares to crown a new champion

Porsche wins Manufacturers’ championship.
