SAP has appointed Ellian Teo as Country Managing Director for SAP Malaysia. Teo takes over the role from Vipin Chandran who has relocated to Singapore with SAP. Teo\u2019s new role will see her lead strategy, operations and customer success in Malaysia.<\/p>\n
Reporting to Liher Urbizu, President and Managing Director, SAP Southeast Asia, Teo will also be responsible for helping businesses across the country accelerate their digital transformation, strengthen business resilience, and realize tangible value from cloud, data and AI innovation.<\/p>\n
Commenting on Teo\u2019s appointment, Urbizu said that Malaysia continues to be an important market for SAP, with organizations across industries focused on modernizing their operations and adopting AI responsibly to deliver tangible business outcomes.<\/p>\n
He added that Teo brings deep enterprise technology experience, strong customer relationships, and a clear focus on people, partnerships, and execution.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am confident she will build on the strong foundations laid by her predecessor and will play an important role in supporting our customers and partners in Malaysia as they move from intelligence to impact and accelerate their transformation and AI journeys,\u201d Urbizu said.<\/p>\n
A veteran with more than two decades of enterprise technology leadership experience, Teo joins SAP after spending nearly a decade at Microsoft where she was the enterprise commercial leader in Malaysia. Teo also had senior roles in Oracle and IBM.<\/p>\n
In Malaysia, Teo has worked with major organizations across financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing, government-linked companies and large Malaysian enterprises throughout her career. She has also collaborated closely with Boards, CXOs, regulators, policymakers, and technology ecosystems to support large-scale transformation programs.<\/p>\n
Honored to join SAP Malaysia as Country Managing Director, Teo said SAP is uniquely positioned at the intersection of business transformation, data and AI.<\/p>\n
