{"id":68163,"date":"2026-08-06T23:22:15","date_gmt":"2026-08-06T23:22:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/68163\/"},"modified":"2026-08-06T23:22:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-06T23:22:15","slug":"siemens-leverages-ai-boom-for-highest-ever-industrial-profit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/68163\/","title":{"rendered":"Siemens leverages AI boom for highest-ever industrial profit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>German giant Siemens is another company benefiting \u200bfrom the artificial intelligence investment boom, reporting its highest-ever quarterly \u200cindustrial profit and raising its full-year guidance on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Siemens said it was seeing strong demand for data centers used to process AI, as well as for AI-enabled software and devices used to control factories and buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Sentiment was also improving from aerospace, defense and machine-\u200bbuilding customers, prompting the company to raise its full-year profit guidance after beating third-quarter expectations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our sharp \u200bfocus on driving industrial AI and our strong positioning in attractive markets give us a \u2060solid foundation for our success,&#8221; CEO Roland Busch told reporters.<\/p>\n<p>The company&#8217;s industrial AI products, which help customers \u200bspeed up innovation and improve productivity, were driving growth, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Siemens was also benefiting from strong demand from \u200bthe electronics and semiconductor makers, many of which are expanding capacity to supply AI-related equipment and chips.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There is tremendous demand for electronics,&#8221; Busch said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They are building more and more factories, and they need to be automated, which is where Siemens&#8217; business comes in.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Siemens \u200bwas working with nine of the Top 10 largest data center providers, he said, while orders had increased \u200bby a triple-digit percentage in the first nine months of its 2026 fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>Highest quarterly industrial profit<\/p>\n<p>Companies like Siemens, Swiss rival ABB \u200cand \u2060France&#8217;s Schneider Electric are seeing surging demand as Big Tech races to add data centres, chips and electricity capacity for AI training and operation.<\/p>\n<p>Capital spending by five of the largest technology companies, a key driver of the global data-centre boom, is expected to rise 75% in 2026 from more than $400 billion in 2025, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said in April.<\/p>\n<p>For the quarter to \u200bthe end of June, \u2060Siemens reported industrial profit rising 25% to 3.52 billion euros ($4.09 billion), its highest quarterly figure, beating forecasts of 3.18 billion euros in a company-gathered consensus.<\/p>\n<p>Revenue rose 7% to 20.79 billion euros, ahead of \u200bforecasts for 20.64 billion euros, while orders picked up 13% to 27.90 billion euros, also a quarterly record.<\/p>\n<p>Its shares still fell 5.2% in mid-morning trading.<\/p>\n<p>Up to Wednesday&#8217;s close, they had gained nearly 20% from the beginning of the year to hit a \u2060record high \u200bat 291.50 euros in the session.<\/p>\n<p>The company also said it had agreed with \u200bGerman tax authorities on the treatment of Siemens Healthineers shares that it plans to distribute to investors following the planned spin-off, meaning the \u200bdistribution would be tax-free for Siemens shareholders.<\/p>\n<p>                    <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/JN9LXf.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\n                    The Daily Sabah Newsletter\n                <\/p>\n<p>\n                    Keep up to date with what\u2019s happening in Turkey,<br \/>\n                    it\u2019s region and the world.\n                <\/p>\n<p>                    SIGN ME UP\n                <\/p>\n<p>\n                    You can unsubscribe at any time.
