{"id":68577,"date":"2026-08-07T16:12:30","date_gmt":"2026-08-07T16:12:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/68577\/"},"modified":"2026-08-07T16:12:30","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T16:12:30","slug":"united-klm-lufthansa-israir-expanding-flights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/68577\/","title":{"rendered":"United, KLM, Lufthansa, Israir expanding flights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>United Airlines is set to resume flights to Israel on September 8 with two daily routes from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/us-elections\/article-903243\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Newark<\/a> to Tel Aviv, according to a Friday N12 report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The US airline\u2019s return is expected to significantly increase competition on the routes from Israel to the US, which are highly sought out, said the report.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes amid a wave of both international and Israeli airlines expanding operations at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-904783\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ben-Gurion Airport.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>KLM has also resumed operations, with a Tel Aviv-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-904563\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Amsterdam<\/a> route restarting on August 25, according to the report.\u00a0Sales for the route began on August 6.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The Dutch airline said on Friday that it is \u201ccontinuously adjust[ing] its network based on commercial and operational considerations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The flights on this route will operate with a technical stopover in Larnaca, Cyprus, where the flight crew will have an overnight stay.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Lufthansa is also expanding its flights to and from Israel, according to N12, expecting to reach up to 67 flights a week beginning in September.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Amid the rise of global carriers, Israir is expected to join the competition soon, the report said.
