{"id":69514,"date":"2026-08-09T23:32:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-09T23:32:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/69514\/"},"modified":"2026-08-09T23:32:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-09T23:32:11","slug":"trent-williams-being-sued-over-failure-to-make-payments-on-porsche","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/69514\/","title":{"rendered":"Trent Williams being sued over failure to make payments on Porsche"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chaos continues to envelop the 49ers, as star offensive tackle Trent Williams is being sued by OpenRoad Auto Group.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/08\/09\/trent-williams-sued-by-auto-group-for-allegedly-not-paying-car-lease\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">TMZ reported that<\/a> OpenRoad Auto Group claims Williams has been 46 months late on a 48-month lease he agreed to for a 2018 Porsche 911.<\/p>\n<p>Williams reportedly paid the first two months of the lease in August and September 2021, but he has not made a payment since. It was reported that Williams sold the car to a car company, which sold it to someone else despite not having the valid title to it.<\/p>\n<p>OpenRoad said Williams\u2019 48-month lease agreement expired in August of last year.<\/p>\n<p>Williams is being sued by OpenRoad for breach of contract, fraud and other specific legal claims. The company is seeking a return of $244,199.28 that includes other charges, attorneys\u2019 fees and litigation costs.<\/p>\n<p>Over the offseason, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/20\/sports\/trent-williams-signs-with-sf-49ers-for-2-years-50-million\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Williams and the 49ers agreed to a two-year, $50 million<\/a> contract extension that makes him one of the top-10 highest-paid offensive linemen.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:0.66699219;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"40263303\" width=\"394\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/MT1USATODAY29528910-849363062-3.jpg\" alt=\"A San Francisco 49ers player in a red jersey with &quot;71&quot; on it, wearing a helmet with a protective padded cover, and white gloves with red palms.\" class=\"wp-image-40263303\"  \/>Williams is gearing up for another NFL season but is dealing with some off-field issues. IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect<\/p>\n<p>Throughout his 15-year career, Williams has been one of the NFL\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/overthecap.com\/career-earnings\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">highest-paid players<\/a> and has reportedly made $242,916,257.<\/p>\n<p>Williams has been with the 49ers since 2020 and has been selected to the Pro Bowl over the last five seasons.
