While it was first created as a high-visibility color for inclement conditions, the vibrant Inka Orange hue became the ideal color to showcase the significantly redesigned proportions of BMW’s cars as it evolved into a highly regarded performance brand. The color slowly disappeared with time but represents an important era for BMW and is revered by collectors.

To tribute the iconic color, Fieg developed a one-of-one bespoke version of the car that is forever tied to Inka Orange, the 3.0 CSi. With a 1972 BMW 3.0 CSi as the foundation, Fieg and BMW helmed a complete frame-off restoration. The body was stripped to bare metal and subsequently KTL-treated and repainted. The car was carefully rebuilt with original components pulled from various BMW archives, including the M30 Big Six engine, transmission, rear axle, suspension, brakes and more. An embossed Kith monogram decorates the custom caramel leather interior, with fully restored instrumentation and wood trim complementing it.

     Kith for BMW 2026.

         Courtesy of Kith/BMW

BMW concluded production of the 3.0 CSi’s E9 chassis in 1979 and introduced the E24 6 Series.
