{"id":70107,"date":"2026-08-10T21:33:43","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T21:33:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/70107\/"},"modified":"2026-08-10T21:33:43","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T21:33:43","slug":"germany-netherlands-order-69-additional-boxer-rct30-ifvs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/70107\/","title":{"rendered":"Germany, Netherlands Order 69 Additional Boxer RCT30 IFVs\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/dronefront.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">&#13;<br \/>\n    <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/WhatsAppVideo2026-05-15at09.23.58.gif\" alt=\"The Drone Front\" width=\"1280\" height=\"539\"\/>&#13;<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ARTEC, a joint venture between KNDS Deutschland and Rheinmetall, has been contracted to procure 69 additional Boxer RCT30 infantry fighting vehicles for the German and Dutch armed forces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Signed through the Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation, the optional purchase follows the two countries\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefensepost.com\/2025\/10\/20\/germany-netherlands-boxer-vehicles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">procurement of 222 vehicles in 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The German Armed Forces, which previously ordered 150 Boxer RCT30 vehicles, will receive 35 additional vehicles. The Royal Netherlands Army will receive the remaining 34, bringing its total fleet of wheeled infantry fighting vehicles to 106.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFor decades, we have been a proud partner of the Dutch Army. Whether it is the LEOPARD 2 or the Boxer system, to name just the most recent procurement programs that Germany and the Netherlands have carried out together,\u201d KNDS Deutschland CEO Florian Hohenwarter <a href=\"https:\/\/knds.com\/en\/press-releases\/additional-69-boxer-rct-30-wheeled-infantry-fighting-vehicles-for-germany-and-the-netherlands\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis demonstrates what European cooperation can achieve. Joint procurement of a system and the resulting higher production volumes not only enable faster deliveries.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also has a direct, positive impact on training and logistics and guarantees interoperability between the armed forces. KNDS, as a European company, stands for exactly this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Boxer RCT30<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Boxer RCT30, developed by KNDS, will serve as the backbone of the German Armed Forces\u2019 new \u201cMedium Forces,\u201d a category of land forces designed to provide highly mobile, wheeled combat formations operating between heavy armored forces and light infantry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Combining the proven Boxer platform, already in service with seven nations, with the 30 mm turret developed for the Puma infantry fighting vehicle, the RCT30 can engage moving targets while in motion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Designated \u201cSchakal\u201d by the German Armed Forces, the wheeled infantry fighting vehicle is also equipped to counter drones and aircraft.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its integrated MELLS anti-tank guided missile system enables it to engage heavily armored targets, including main battle tanks.
