The five-day programme was prepared by the Unity Hub Berlin Ukrainian Unity Centre. Details of the events have been published by Unity Hub Berlin.<\/p>\n<p>The week will bring together events dedicated to Ukraine\u2019s cultural heritage, traditions, music, art, and the country\u2019s historical journey. The organisers will pay particular attention to discussions about Ukraine\u2019s reconstruction and its future.<\/p>\n<p>Events of Ukrainian Culture and History Week in Berlin<\/p>\n<p>August 24  \u2013  opening of an exhibition of handmade motanka dolls by craft artist Maryna Palii. A workshop is also planned, during which participants will create a protective doll and learn more about the significance of this tradition.<br \/>\nAugust 25  \u2013  an evening concert of Ukrainian songs featuring the Berlin Ukrainian choir \u201cLastivochky\u201d. The programme will include folk, Cossack, classical, and international compositions.<br \/>\nAugust 26  \u2013  official screening of the Canadian-Ukrainian historical investigative drama \u201cThe Distance to Independence\u201d. The film tells the story of the 99 pivotal days of 1991 and the events that led Ukraine to declare independence.<br \/>\nAugust 27  \u2013  discussion titled \u201cAfter the War: What Will the Ukraine of the Future Be Like?\u201d Young people and experts will discuss the rebuilding of society, the influence of the new generation, and the importance of culture and identity for modern European Ukraine.<br \/>\nAugust 28  \u2013  an art workshop for children, \u201cUkraine in Colours\u201d. Participants will learn about the history of Ukrainian decorative painting and create their own works inspired by the art of different regions of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Where Ukrainian Week Will Take Place<\/p>\n<p>All events are scheduled to take place at Unity Hub Berlin, located at J\u00e4gerstra\u00dfe 54, 10117 Berlin. Attendance is free, but advance registration is required for each event.<\/p>\n<p>Unity Hub Berlin serves as a space supporting Ukrainians in Germany and fostering cooperation among Ukrainian civic organisations, charitable foundations, and educational, cultural, and social initiatives.
