Patria and KNDS Deutschland Maintenance have signed<\/a> an agreement to assemble and integrate Patria 6\u00d76 armored personnel carriers in Germany under the Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) program<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The agreement supports two contracts awarded to Patria by the German Armed Forces in December 2025.<\/p>\n

Serial deliveries are expected to increase in early 2027, with a growing share of production transferred to German facilities from then onward.<\/p>\n

KNDS will handle vehicle assembly and final integration as part of a broader effort to establish a domestic production network involving several German suppliers.<\/p>\n

Patria will transfer the technical expertise required for local manufacturing.<\/p>\n

Launched by Finland and Latvia in 2020, the CAVS provides participating countries with a common Patria 6\u00d76 platform while allowing configurations to be adapted to national requirements.<\/p>\n

Vehicles have already been delivered to Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Denmark, and Germany.<\/p>\n

Norway and the UK also participate in the program, while Patria 6x6s are in operational use in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The CAVS program also received<\/a> 60 million euros ($70 million) through the European Defence Industry Reinforcement through Common Procurement Act, an EU initiative supporting joint defense purchases by member states.<\/p>\n

Recent Armored Vehicle Programs<\/p>\n

The German production agreement follows other recent developments across Patria\u2019s tracked and wheeled vehicle programs.<\/p>\n

Last month, Finland, Norway, and Latvia signed a statement of intent to consider adopting Patria\u2019s TRACKX system<\/a> and to expand their cooperation on military land mobility.<\/p>\n

Developed under the EU-funded Future Highly Mobile Augmented Armored Systems<\/a> program, the TRACKX is a light tracked armored vehicle intended for operations across difficult terrain.<\/p>\n

The agreement allows the three countries to exchange field-trial results, coordinate further development, and explore joint procurement.<\/p>\n

In June, Patria and Slovakia revised their production schedule to accelerate deliveries under Slovakia\u2019s 8\u00d78 armored vehicle program<\/a>, prioritizing infantry fighting vehicle variants.<\/p>\n
