The collaboration introduces a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic and a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic Turbo, each developed with a distinct visual identity and a collection of made-to-measure Louis Vuitton pieces.

The project began with a request for a dashboard clock. La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton created a detachable mechanical timepiece inspired by the Tambour watch, with twelve polished and engraved letters spelling the House name around the bezel. From there, Louis Vuitton and Singer extended the work into the instrument display, speedometer, rev counter, gauges and interior details.

Courtesy of Louis Vuitton
Courtesy of Louis Vuitton

For the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic, Louis Vuitton selected saffron, cobalt blue and yellow. The color scheme references House packaging and earlier automotive travel cases, while cobalt blue tires and yellow saddle stitching carry the palette through the car. A specially designed roof rack can accommodate a trunk, surfboard or skis.

Inside, natural-toned leather references VVT leather, while diamond-pattern embossing recalls the interior treatment of Louis Vuitton trunks. Singer produced the leatherwork using materials selected with Louis Vuitton artisans. Metal replaces many conventional plastic components, including switches, locks, pull-tabs and air vents. The teams used rhodium plating, anodising, electroplating, polishing and satin-finishing techniques on these parts.

Courtesy of Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton also created a travel capsule for the Classic. The collection includes a naturally grained leather racing jacket, heavy cotton-and-silk denim, LV Rally driving shoes, LV Remix Derby shoes, driving gloves and a carbon and glass-fiber helmet. Custom luggage includes a helmet bag, Bisten suitcase, Keepall and two bags shaped for the front trunk. The roof rack can also carry a Louis Vuitton surfboard produced with blond oak and walnut marquetry, along with skis made from wood, titan and steel.

The second car, a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic Turbo, comes from Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton Artistic Director of Women’s Collections. Ghesquière chose Calcaire Lutétien white bodywork, brown details, natural leather, gold accents and extensive wood trim. He drew inspiration from classic motorboats, using a teak-inspired wooden deck behind the rear-opening luggage compartment.

Courtesy of Louis Vuitton

The dashboard places its mechanical clock in the center console, surrounded by golden gauges and leather upholstery. Wood appears on the bumpers, rear engine compartment, front boot and luggage compartment behind the seats. A three-part trunk fits inside the front boot, while leather straps reference trunks, motorsport equipment and watch straps.

Courtesy of Louis Vuitton

Ghesquière also designed a dedicated capsule for the cabriolet. It includes a Tambour Automatic watch in ceramic and yellow gold, a made-to-measure parachute silk suit, braided leather gloves, LV Sneakerina shoes, sunglasses and a carbon and glass-fiber helmet. Bespoke bags and cases include a garment bag, Alma, Express, Noé, Cruiser, Petite Malle and Keepall 45.

Singer founded its California operation in 2009 and works with owners to restore and personalize classic Porsche 911s. The Louis Vuitton collaboration marks the House’s first co-branded automotive project and brings its watchmaking, leather goods, fashion, footwear and trunk-making teams into one automotive program.

View Gallery

    28 images

Courtesy of Louis Vuitton Louis Vuitton enters automotive design with Singer through two Porsche 911 projects that extend…

[21181
31509,5354,40106,96,36202,8406
post-71639","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-porsche","tag-capsule-collections","tag-cars","tag-collections","tag-lifestyle","tag-louis-vuitton","tag-porsche
["GET
