Louis Vuitton has unveiled two custom cars built with Singer, the California-based atelier known for reimagining classic Porsche 911s. It is the first co-branding project in the history of either house.<\/p>\n

\"Porsche Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer Classic Turbo (Louis Vuitton) <\/p>\n

The collaboration draws on Louis Vuitton’s “Art of Travel” philosophy and began with a detachable Tambour dashboard clock made at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Switzerland, before expanding to the instrument panel, the cockpit and the vehicles themselves.<\/p>\n

\"Porsche Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer Classic (Louis Vuitton) <\/p>\n

The first car, the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer Classic, is a coupe with a 4-liter naturally aspirated air-cooled flat-six engine finished in saffron and cobalt blue. The saffron references a travel trunk made for Citroen in 1924. Inside, seats, trunk and engine bay carry the diamond malletage pattern embossed on the house’s trunk lining.<\/p>\n

\"Porsche Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer Classic (Louis Vuitton) <\/p>\n

The second, the Classic Turbo, is a cabriolet with a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere, artistic director of women’s collections. Its white body draws on the Lutetian limestone of Paris, paired with varnished teak decking of the kind used on runabout motorboats.<\/p>\n

A bespoke capsule collection accompanies the cars, including a Millesime leather racing jacket, LV Rally driving shoes, driving gloves, a jet helmet, a 40-millimeter ceramic-and- yellow-gold Tambour Automatic watch, and luggage cut to fit the trunk and compartments.<\/p>\n
