Major League Soccer<\/a> and kit supplier adidas<\/a> are hoping the third time\u2019s a charm with the return of their retro-inspired third jersey program.<\/p>\n

The 2026 edition of the adidas x MLS Archive Collection<\/a> dropped on Wednesday, August 13, with third kits for eight teams that celebrate \u201cnostalgia, pride, and passion of eight soccer cities that connect both past and present while honoring each club\u2019s history, culture and identity.\u201d Each kit also has a matching jacket, and the whole collection goes on sale today through adidas.com<\/a> and MLSStore.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Teams included in this year\u2019s Archive Collection include:<\/p>\n

Moving away from the club\u2019s core colors for the first time, the Austin FC Archive kit leans into \u201cThe Violet Crown\u201d \u2014 that iconic sunset glow that\u2019s defined the city for over a century. The kit also features a retro typeface and violet palette, blending stadium energy and street style.<\/p>\n

CF MONTR\u00c9AL\"\"\"\"Courtesy Major League Soccer<\/a><\/p>\n

The CF Montr\u00e9al Archive Collection breathes new life into the original away kit. This look throws it back to 1993, when the Montr\u00e9al Impact played their first pro game away from home. Featuring a vintage MLS logo and a historic \u201c1993\u201d sign-off, it\u2019s a bold take on the first chapter of the club.<\/p>\n

The Chicago Fire FC Archive kit remixes the iconic 2000 away jersey. The bold \u201cCHICAGO\u201d wordmark across the chest asserts city pride\u00a0in a retro colorway\u00a0while navy and red accents connect to the current Forever Red kit, uniting the past and present.<\/p>\n

Nearly sixty years of soccer history comes to life. The Houston Dynamo FC Archive Collection celebrates the 20th anniversary of the club\u2019s first MLS Cup, featuring the iconic ceiling pattern of the Houston Astrodome \u2014 birthplace of pro soccer in Houston \u2014 and 2006-2007 championship branding.<\/p>\n

ORLANDO CITY SC\"\"\"\"Courtesy Major League Soccer<\/a><\/p>\n

This Orlando City SC Archive Collection revives four decades of soccer history in the City Beautiful. The kit brings together the Lions\u2019 1980s wordmark \u2014 a nod to Orlando\u2019s original soccer team \u2014 with the space-age design of the 1994 World Cup\u2019s iconic Questra<\/a> match ball. Woven throughout is legendary red, the same colorway Orlando City wore when it lifted the Club\u2019s first USL trophy in 2011.<\/p>\n

PHILADELPHIA UNION\"\"\"\"Courtesy Major League Soccer<\/a><\/p>\n

The Philadelphia Union Archive Collection is a throwback to the 90s, a decade that gave Philly its leading edge. This vintage cream kit features color-blocked bands for every local team and a snake-wrapped Liberty Bell sign-off to show the Union officially completed the city.<\/p>\n

Real Salt Lake\u2019s kit celebrates the \u201cGreatest Snow on Earth,\u201d Utah\u2019s vintage ski culture and eclectic resort style. From iconic Olympic slopes to hidden backcountry gems, this kit captures the main character energy of the mountains.<\/p>\n

VANCOUVER WHITECAPS\"\"\"\"Courtesy Major League Soccer<\/a><\/p>\n

Vancouver Whitecaps FC are bringing a fresh look inspired by elements from the club\u2019s history as Vancouver 86ers \u2013 an identity inseparable from the city\u2019s passion for soccer. The nostalgic colours bring back a bold blue and vibrant yellow, with red accents. On the chest is the iconic Vancouver ribbon from the original 86ers crest. The chest mark merges in the beauty of British Columbia, featuring the official flower of the province \u2013 the pacific dogwood. The 40th anniversary jocktag commemorates the founding of the 86ers in 1986, connecting past glory to present pride. The \u2018Caps will debut their archive kit, featuring yellow shorts and blue socks, at BC Place this coming Wednesday, August 19 against Houston Dynamo FC. The first 2,000 fans will receive a special edition 86ers headband.<\/p>\n

The 2025 Archive Collection<\/a> included Charlotte FC<\/a>, Colorado Rapids<\/a>, Columbus Crew<\/a>, D.C. United<\/a>, FC Dallas<\/a>, Minnesota United<\/a>, Nashville FC<\/a>, New England Revolution<\/a>, San Jose Earthquakes<\/a> and Seattle Sounders<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 2024 edition<\/a> included Inter Miami<\/a>, LA Galaxy<\/a>, Los Angeles Football Club<\/a>, Portland Timbers<\/a> and Sporting Kansas City<\/a>.<\/p>\n
