On Thursday, Austin FC officially dropped \u201cThe Violet Crown Kit\u201d, the club\u2019s first-ever third jersey and its first-ever purple jersey, as part of the 2026 adidas x MLS Archive Collection. Bringing a brand-new colorway to the Club\u2019s kit collection, the kit leans into \u201cThe Violet Crown\u201d\u2014 that iconic sunset glow that\u2019s defined the city for over a century. The kit will make its on-field debut in tonight\u2019s Leagues Cup match against Club Am\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n
\u201cAustin has been known as the City of the Violet Crown, long before Austin FC existed,\u201d said Austin FC Chief Executive Officer Andy Loughnane. \u201cThis kit gives us an opportunity to take something uniquely associated with our city and make it part of our Club\u2019s identity in an entirely new way. It\u2019s our first-ever third jersey, our first in this color, and most importantly it feels unmistakably Austin.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Violet Crown Kit is the eighth jersey ever released by Austin FC and is the first to feature a colorway different from the Club\u2019s traditional colors. It will be a part of the 2026 kit collection alongside the Heartbeat Kit and the Rooted Kit.<\/p>\n
The Violet Crown Kit features a retro typeface and violet palette. The jocktag reads \u201cUnderneath the Violet Crown,\u201d a lyric sung by supporters at Austin FC home matches. Like the Club\u2019s previous Armadillo Kit and current secondary jersey The Rooted Kit, an alternate tree crest adorns the front of the jersey.<\/p>\n
For the first time,\u00a0\u201cAustin”\u00a0spans across the center chest in a violet and pink gradient exclusive to this kit. YETI, Austin FC\u2019s official jersey partner, appears prominently beneath the player’s name and number.\u00a0Our jersey sleeve partner, Siete, brings its local flavor to the right sleeve in white.\u00a0A custom-colored MLS shield sits above the Apple TV logo, completing the kit\u2019s exclusive design.\u00a0<\/p>\n
