A loaded electric Porsche wagon just resold for barely half its sticker.<\/p>\n The high bid missed reserve before a later sale closed the deal.<\/p>\n The lifted wagon wears black cladding and an Off Road Design Package.<\/p>\n A very expensive Porsche<\/a> wagon just made an extremely compelling case for letting the first owner take the hit. This 2024 Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo sold after a Cars & Bids auction for $117,000 with just 6,900 miles (11,104 km) on the odometer. Its original window sticker was $214,320. That\u2019s a $97,320 gap in roughly two years, and it changes the math dramatically for whoever takes the keys next.<\/p>\n The auction<\/a> itself topped out at $111,500, but didn\u2019t meet reserve. Cars & Bids<\/a> later listed the car as \u201cSold After\u201d to the high bidder for $117,000. That\u2019s still only about 54.6 percent of the original MSRP. Of course, MSRP isn\u2019t necessarily what the first owner paid, so we can\u2019t say with certainty that someone personally ate every dollar of that loss or that they didn\u2019t pay a markup and eat an even larger loss. Still, the sticker gives us a useful look at just how quickly a loaded, high-end EV can shed value.<\/p>\n This wasn\u2019t a basic (if that even exists) Taycan<\/a>, either. The Turbo Cross Turismo<\/a> started at $163,400, but this one carried roughly $50,000 in factory options before the $1,650 destination charge. Chalk paint alone added $3,150, while the panoramic roof with variable light control cost $3,200. Other pricey extras included a $5,810 Burmester sound system, $2,460 in carbon-fiber interior trim, $2,420 Night Vision Assist, and a $5,410 Performance Package.<\/p>\n
