Traton and International are piloting a modular approach to commercial vehicle service contracts in the North American market<\/p>\n

Traton and International are piloting a modular approach to commercial vehicle service contracts in the North American market, moving away from industry-standard pre-packaged bundles toward offerings tailored to individual customer needs. The pilot project, which began in the fourth quarter of 2024, will be tested in daily operations with selected dealers and customers across four US states from 2026, with a target commercial launch during the same year.<\/p>\n

As part of the project, Traton has developed a tool that processes customer data alongside direct customer dialogue to generate customised service specifications and associated value assessments. The methodology is designed to allow flexibility without precluding pre-packaged options where appropriate.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Oscar Duse, Senior Portfolio Manager at Traton, said: \u201cCustomers are telling us that we are doing something no one else is. We aim to tailor our service offerings to each unique customer need, just as we intend to do with our hardware.\u201d<\/p>\n

Huber Mastelari, Vice President of Service Contracts and Connectivity at International, added: \u201cIt\u2019s helping us simplify complexity and create a more flexible services architecture. Reducing lead times and improving adaptability allows us to strengthen our consultative selling approach.\u201d<\/p>\n

If successful, the tool could be incorporated into International\u2019s dealer network and the methodology extended across the Traton Group.<\/p>\n
