A popular bakery product<\/a> sold in Queensland supermarkets like IGA<\/a> was recalled<\/a> over concerns it could cause a serious allergic reaction<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Noosa GOURMET issued a recall for 320-gram bags of Brioche Rolls on Wednesday night after it was discovered some products failed to declare the presence of milk and egg<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) warned the undeclared allergens could pose a risk to shoppers with egg or milk allergies or intolerances.<\/p>\n

Noosa Gourmet Brioche Rolls without proper allergen identification have been recalled.<\/p>\n

FSANZ said the recall notice only applies to “products that do not declare the allergens listed”, and the bag will also have a best-before date of August 5, 2026.<\/p>\n

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” the food regulator states.<\/p>\n

Telsa’s Powerwall 2 battery system that could overheat<\/p>\n

The car company issued an alert this week about its Powerwall 2 battery system that charges its electric vehicles.<\/p>\n

The device is typically installed on the side of people’s homes, but Tesla has identified some of the lithium-ion battery cells in the system that may fail and overheat.<\/p>\n

Some units have been found to be smoking or emitting flames, resulting in minor property damage.<\/p>\n

“Most affected units have already been remotely discharged by Tesla,” the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said.<\/p>\n

Tens of thousands of Mercedes-Benz hit with the same manufacturing defect<\/p>\n

Mercedes-Benz discovered a manufacturing defect affecting more than 58,000 vehicles across the country.<\/p>\n

The defect means the door-lock microswitch could be susceptible to water damage and could fail.<\/p>\n

If this occurs, the door may not be detected as open, preventing the auto park feature from operating as intended.<\/p>\n

The Department of Transport said this could result in unintended vehicle movement, which increases the risk of accident, injury, or death.<\/p>\n

The affected models were manufactured between 2018 and 2026 and applies to A, AMG, B, C, CLA, CLE, EQA, GLA, GLB, and GLC models.<\/p>\n

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz in writing, asking them to schedule an appointment with their authorised dealership to have the repair carried out when parts become available, free of charge.<\/p>\n

Y Warehouse pulled its Nevenka Baby pull-string giraffe toy from sale after it was revealed to pose a big risk to human health and safety.<\/p>\n

The ACCC said the product does not comply with the mandatory standard for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The product’s silicone pull strings are too long and can reach the back of a child’s throat, causing choking or asphyxiation. The feet on the silicone pull strings can also detach from the product and cause a child to choke.<\/p>\n

It was sold by Nevenka and Woolworths online and internationally between November and July.<\/p>\n

People have been urged to stop using it “immediately” and “place out of reach of children”.<\/p>\n
