\u201cWe want another one here coming back in the 2030\u2019s sometime, and so it\u2019s great for St Louis to be on the national stage to show we can support sports like we do and we can support a big tournament like the BMW,\u201d said Boonshaft.<\/p>\n
The obvious question is, where are all these people going to park? The answer is St. Charles\u2019 Family Arena, where shuttle buses will take people to and from Bellerive, and restaurants near the arena think they may be a bit busier next week.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt means good things, it means lots of people are going to come here, lots of people are going to eat,\u201d said : Libby Uttendorf.<\/p>\n
Uttendorf is a server at the popular Gingham\u2019s Homestyle Restaurant, and the restaurant is family-owned.<\/p>\n
She says they\u2019re typically quite busy after events at the Family Arena and expect the same next week.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe usually see waits of about 30 to 45 minutes, sometimes over an hour, it just depends on whose hungry,\u201d said Uttendorf.<\/p>\n
St. Charles police say the PGA contracted officers to do traffic control and watch the vehicles at Family Arena.<\/p>\n
So while the lot and the course are empty now, it should be hopping in a week.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a big undertaking, they\u2019ve been working on it for over a year and it\u2019s going to be great,\u201d said Boonshaft.<\/p>\n
The golfers and fans begin arriving Monday. <\/p>\n
