You never really know what\u2019s coming next on the streets of New York City. A newly released video from Upper Manhattan shows a pedestrian waiting calmly at an intersection\u2014seconds before a speeding C8 Corvette<\/a> blasts through, slams into a Mercedes Benz SUV, spins out, and sends the pedestrian flying into the air.

At least three people were injured in the violent multi car crash early Thursday, captured from multiple angles by surveillance cameras along West 204th Street and Sherman Avenue in Inwood.
\n \n<\/p>\n

Manhattan: West 204th Street & Sherman Avenue, several people, including a pedestrian, were injured this morning in the Inwood section of Manhattan. <\/p>\n

Police said a Corvette was speeding eastbound on Sherman Avenue around 6:30 a.m. when it collided with a Mercedes-Benz near West\u2026 pic.twitter.com\/B3hhgBEzko<\/a><\/p>\n

Police say the crash unfolded around 6:30 a.m., when a man driving a Sea Wolf Gray C8 Corvette at a high rate of speed collided with a Mercedes Benz in the intersection. The impact sent both vehicles into separate destructive paths as the Corvette struck a 34-year-old pedestrian on the sidewalk, then slammed into a building.

The Mercedes Benz ricocheted into a parked car and a moped. That driver ran from the scene, according to the NYPD.

Surveillance video obtained by FOX 5<\/a> shows the moment the pedestrian was clipped and launched into the air.
\n \n<\/p>\n

The Corvette\u2019s driver and passenger, along with the injured pedestrian, were taken to the hospital in stable condition, officials said.
\n \n<\/p>\n

The identities of those involved have not yet been released. No arrests have been made, and the NYPD says the investigation remains active.
