{"id":78082,"date":"2026-08-24T16:24:40","date_gmt":"2026-08-24T16:24:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/78082\/"},"modified":"2026-08-24T16:24:40","modified_gmt":"2026-08-24T16:24:40","slug":"am-best-places-at-bay-under-review-with-positive-implications-amid-munich-re-acquisition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/78082\/","title":{"rendered":"AM Best places At-Bay under review with positive implications amid Munich Re acquisition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Credit ratings agency AM Best has placed At-Bay Specialty Insurance Company (ABSIC) under review with positive implications following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reinsurancene.ws\/munich-re-agrees-to-acquire-cyber-insurtech-at-bay-in-575m-deal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recently announced acquisition<\/a> of its parent company, At-Bay, Inc., by Munich Re for an enterprise value of USD 575 million.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-96954\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/At-Bay_Logo.jpg\" alt=\"At-Bay logo\" width=\"340\" height=\"194\"  \/>At-Bay is a US-based InsurSec provider offering cyber insurance and risk management services.<\/p>\n<p>The cyber insurer\u2019s current Financial Strength Rating is A- (Excellent), with a Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of \u201ca-\u201d (Excellent).<\/p>\n<p>As previously reported, the transaction, which is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, is subject to customary conditions, including the receipt of required regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n<p>After this, At-Bay will be overseen by Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB), part of Munich Re\u2019s Global Specialty Insurance business.
