The deal also includes a five-year agreement between the companies.

Under the arrangement, TCS will set up a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence for Porsche and provide AI-related services across the carmaker’s mobility value chain. The planned acquisition covers 100% of MHP Management- und IT-Beratung GmbH, Porsche’s Germany-based management and IT consulting business, subject to regulatory approval.

The agreement combines a long-term services relationship with a corporate transaction at a time when carmakers are seeking to apply artificial intelligence more widely across engineering, manufacturing, operations and customer-facing functions. The transfer of MHP is part of Porsche’s strategy to focus on its core business.

MHP has an established role in automotive and industrial consulting and implementation, with operations spanning business transformation, AI, SAP, manufacturing digitalisation and connected mobility. For TCS, the acquisition would strengthen its position in Germany and expand its reach among European automotive and industrial clients.

The collaboration centres on three areas: expanding AI work for Porsche through the new centre, with an emphasis on turning use cases into operational systems; a five-year strategic agreement that sets the commercial framework for the partnership; and the acquisition of MHP by TCS through a subsidiary.

Deal structure

The transaction remains subject to regulatory clearance. Neither side disclosed financial terms.

The planned centre will support work across manufacturing, engineering, operations and customer experience. The companies also aim to embed AI in intelligent manufacturing and operations, engineering and customer experience.

This suggests a broad operational scope rather than a narrow technology project. In the automotive sector, manufacturers and suppliers are increasingly using AI for factory processes, software development, after-sales services and internal workflows as they respond to rising digital demands and more software-led vehicle design.

Strategic rationale

For Porsche, the deal combines an outsourcing and partnership model with the disposal of an internal consulting arm. MHP has long operated in management and IT consulting, and its sale would transfer ownership to TCS while preserving a strategic link between Porsche and the business through the wider partnership.

For TCS, the acquisition would add a business with established automotive sector relationships in Germany, one of Europe’s most important industrial markets. It would also give the Indian IT services group a stronger local base in consulting tied to manufacturing and mobility clients.

K. Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Tata Consultancy Services, said, “TCS is pleased to partner Porsche in its transformation journey. As AI, software, and data redefine the automotive industry, this partnership brings together TCS’ capabilities in AI, engineering, technology and business transformation with MHP’s strong automotive consulting expertise. Together, we will industrialize AI at scale for Porsche, accelerating innovation across the value chain to deliver intelligent, software-defined mobility experiences of the future.”

Porsche presented the move as part of a broader effort to concentrate on its main automotive activities while bringing in an external technology partner for digital and AI work. It also linked the arrangement to competitive pressures in a market increasingly shaped by software and data.

Dr. Michael Leiters, Chief Executive Officer, Porsche, said, “Porsche is taking another important step in its strategy to focus resolutely on its core business with the transfer of MHP to Tata Consultancy Services. At the same time, we are gaining a strategic partner in TCS. By combining Porsche’s automotive expertise with TCS’ digital technology and AI capabilities, we will further strengthen our innovative power, increase efficiency, and boost our competitiveness in an increasingly data and software-driven world of mobility.”

SOFIAH NICHOLE SALIVIO News Editor TCS has agreed a strategic partnership with Porsche and plans to acquire Porsche…

[21181
22513,21937,57580,26807,57579,18244,21935,21936,5,29213,27753,28104,57582,2695,57578,1058,44097,22436,8406,5997,9695,57581,4522
post-78518","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-porsche","tag-artificial-intelligence-ai","tag-business-transformation","tag-chief-operating-officer-coo","tag-customer-experience-cx","tag-digital-strategy","tag-engineering","tag-enterprise-resource-planning-erp","tag-generative-ai-genai","tag-germany","tag-industry-4-0","tag-it-services","tag-machine-learning-ml","tag-management-consulting","tag-manufacturing","tag-mergers-and-acquisitions-ma","tag-mobility","tag-outsourcing","tag-partnerships","tag-porsche","tag-productivity","tag-sap","tag-tata-consultancy-services-tcs","tag-vehicles
["GET
