Uniper and Equinor have signed a 15-year agreement for the supply of natural gas to Germany. Under the agreement, Equinor will supply Uniper with more than 30 TWh\/y of natural gas from 2027 \u2013 2041. The agreement strengthens the long-term supply of the German market with natural gas and contributes to the further diversification of Uniper\u2019s portfolio, helping to further secure reliable gas supplies for Uniper\u2019s customers in Germany.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis long-term agreement is a strong signal for the future of Europe\u2019s energy system. Reliable long-term partnerships remain essential for secure and competitive energy markets, and this agreement strengthens Germany\u2019s gas supply for years to come. At the same time, we see significant potential to work together with Equinor on advancing proven lower-emissions gas solutions for customers in Germany. Norway is a cornerstone of Europe\u2019s energy security, and Equinor is a trusted partner with deep expertise and a strong commitment to the European market,\u201d said Michael Lewis, CEO, Uniper.<\/p>\n
