{"id":79104,"date":"2026-08-26T02:18:18","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T02:18:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/79104\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T02:18:18","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T02:18:18","slug":"guven-trulli-reinforce-porsche-ranks-for-okayama-sportscar365","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/79104\/","title":{"rendered":"Guven, Trulli Reinforce Porsche Ranks for Okayama \u2013 Sportscar365"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-151449\" class=\"size-full wp-image-151449\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/start-B1OK5865-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"600\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-151449\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: GT World Challenge Asia<\/p>\n<p>Porsche stars Ayhancan Guven and Enzo Trulli will both make one-off GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS appearances in next week\u2019s Okayama round.<\/p>\n<p>Reigning DTM champion Guven will make his series debut alongside title contender Anthony Liu in the No. 37 Phantom Global Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo in place of Dorian Boccolacci, who is away on GTWC Europe Endurance Cup duty at the N\u00fcrburgring.<\/p>\n<p>Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver Trulli meanwhile makes his bow for EBM, which is making a one-off Silver-Am class entry for he and Adrian D\u2019Silva.<\/p>\n<p>The addition of the EBM 911 helps <a href=\"https:\/\/sportscar365.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/GT-World-Challenge-Asia-powered-by-AWS-Okayama-Commercial-Entry-List-17.08.2026.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">bring the entry for the Okayama round to 24 cars<\/a>, one fewer than were entered at Fuji.<\/p>\n<p>Klaus Bachler will make his second outing of the year in the No. 918 Absolute Racing Porsche, which returns to the grid after skipping July\u2019s Fuji round, with regular driver Bastian Buus also instead competing at the N\u00fcrburgring.<\/p>\n<p>With the car\u2019s usual FIA Bronze-rated driver Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak still out of action, SRO Japan Cup Kazuki Ota will instead share with Bachler.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, BMW factory driver Neil Verhagen returns as co-driver to \u2018Tony\u2019 Ruan Cunfan in the No. 89 Team KRC BMW M4 GT3 EVO for the first time since the Sepang opener.<\/p>\n<p>Absolute Racing\u2019s No. 29 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 will have a second driver for the first time this year in the form of Sandy Stuvik, who returns to GTWC Asia for the first time since the 2022 season to partner Akash Nandy.<\/p>\n<p>For the first three rounds of the year, Nandy drove the car solo.<\/p>\n<p>Garage 75\u2019s Am class-entered No. 75 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo has an all-new lineup comprising two Bronze-rated Japanese drivers, \u2018Cold Max\u2019 and \u2018Yamatatsu\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Harmony Racing, which has up to now fielded three Ferraris, is down to only two entries as the No. 13 car normally driven by Sun Jingzu and Adderly Fong is absent.<\/p>\n<p>Absolute Porsche pair Alessandro Ghiretti and Huang Ruohan lead Origine Motorsport\u2019s Lu Wei \u2014 partnered again at Okayama by Laurin Heinrich \u2014 by four points at the halfway point of the season, with Liu a further four points back in third.<\/p>\n<p>The first one-hour race of the Okayama weekend is set for 1 p.m. local time on Saturday (12 a.m. EST), while the second race is set for 10 a.m. on Sunday (Saturday 9 p.m. EST).<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-del=\"avatar\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/JK-80x80.jpg\" class=\"avatar pp-user-avatar avatar-60 photo \" height=\"60\" width=\"60\"\/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Jamie Klein is Sportscar365&#8217;s Asian editor.
