In a TikTok with over 1.1 million views as of this writing, Kiiz (@lifewithkiiz) reveals how much gas her 2026 BMW X5<\/a> holds and how much it costs to fill up.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been about three weeks since the last time I bought gas and I am feeling like it\u2019s going to be $100,\u201d Kiiz begins.<\/p>\n She shows herself filling up with 93 premium at a Shell gas station where it costs $4.45\/gallon. Kiiz notes that her credit card offers a promo discount that gives her $0.50 cents per gallon when buying gas.<\/p>\n \u201cI find it funny that I\u2019m back in a gas vehicle because I drove a Tesla for like three years and swore I would never go back to a regular gas station but here we are,\u201d she later adds.<\/p>\n The BMW<\/a> ultimately takes 20 gallons at a total price of $88 after her discount.<\/p>\n \u201cI will forever drive a BMW,\u201d she concludes.\u00a0<\/p>\n How To Maximize Fuel Economy<\/p>\n As fuel prices continue to rise<\/a>, many drivers look to get the most out of every tank. No matter what vehicle you drive, there are ways to increase fuel economy. Driving habits and being on top of maintenance are two main ways to get better gas mileage.<\/p>\n Regarding driving habits, it\u2019s always best to drive smoothly, Consumer Reports<\/a> shares. It\u2019s best to avoid harsh acceleration and braking when possible. Putting the pedal to the metal eats up your fuel consumption. And unnecessary braking wastes the fuel that was used to speed up.\u00a0<\/p>\n According to AAA<\/a>, performing regular car maintenance can help extend fuel economy. This includes getting oil changes, properly inflated tires, clean engine filters, addressing check engine lights immediately, and keeping a fuel log.<\/p>\n What time you fill up can also make a difference in how many miles you get per tank. Motus<\/a> reports that the best time to fill up is first thing in the morning. Gasoline expands when warmed and condenses when cooled.
