Meanwhile, they will be right to say “I told you so” when hearing that Mercedes has finally admitted that removing buttons from their cars is a bit counter-productive.

However, they also said that giant screens aren’t going anywhere because customers love the giant displays and future models will just have to find a way to mix them with additional physical controls for the key vehicle functions. Oh, and the company is also in the midst of one of its greatest product pushes, with countless new and refreshed plus additional variants coming out this year and the next.

Alas, don’t count on an all-new Mercedes-Benz flagship sedan because the current generation S-Class launched the product onslaught early this year with the mid-cycle refresh operation for the W223 seventh generation. Now, there are regular S-Class, Maybach, Guard, and AMG models out there, all sporting the new LED star-focused refresh design ethos. But does it all matter too much for the members of the imaginative guild of digital car content creators when dwelling across the parallel universes of vehicular CGI? Not really, no.

But there’s no need to take our word for granted because we have an eloquent example: Nikita Chuicko, the virtual artist better known as “kelsonik” on social media, thinks that now is the right CGI time to consider an alternate S-Class in black attire. This isn’t merely a riff off the current S, though – it’s an entirely different alternative style.

The pixel master initially presented this idea, obviously inspired by the Mercedes-Benz Vision Iconic Concept, dressed in white and in a septic studio-like environment. But now the CGI expert moves his unofficial, hypothetical design project outside and dressed in black. Quite obviously, he’s looking for a traditional pose, as the interior is also dressed in tan or black leather – just like any serious classic limousine would have it.

But the overall design is vastly different from the current Mercedes-Benz S-Class outside of a surviving three-pointed LED star tucked into the slim LED headlights. There’s a longer and more muscular hood, an upright nose with the new chrome LED grille, small bumper air intakes, a racked cockpit with a CLS-like swooping roof style, pronounced widebody-style fender flares around the back, and slim double LED bar lights at the rear along with fake exhaust outlets embedded into the bumper.

8 photos Photo: kelsonik / Instagram Just recently, Mercedes-AMG’s new all-electric sedan (nope, not that one) has…

[20951
60820,23156,58856,60819,54359,3622,27796,29806
post-84014","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-mercedes-benz","tag-cgi-luxury-sedan","tag-flagship","tag-kelsonik","tag-limousine","tag-mercedes-benz-cls","tag-mercedes-benz","tag-mercedes-benz-s-class","tag-rendering
["GET
