Up to the time of his arrest, the accused had transmitted to his handler a substantial amount of information of various kinds\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 German Federal Prosecutor\u2019s Office<\/p>\n<p>According to investigators, the data handed over related to critically important security sectors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis included, for example, information about military support for Ukraine from the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as about the German arms and defense industries  \u2013  in particular, about companies developing drones and robots\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 German Federal Prosecutor\u2019s Office<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the detainee conducted visual reconnaissance and sabotage planning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSerhiy K. repeatedly sent photographs of public buildings in Berlin or military convoys on highways, including convoys of a NATO country. In addition, he informed his contact at the intelligence service about relevant targets for sabotage in Germany and proposed recruiting other individuals for a sabotage and espionage group.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 German Federal Prosecutor\u2019s Office<\/p>\n<p>Today, April 29, the suspect will appear before an investigating judge at the Federal Supreme Court, who will decide on the custody order.<\/p>\n<p>It is also known that earlier the German Federal Prosecutor\u2019s Office detained a Romanian citizen and a Ukrainian citizen on suspicion of spying for Russian intelligence  \u2013  they were gathering information and filming facilities related to the supply of drones and components for Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Context of the events and future steps<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor\u2019s office continues the investigation and remains committed to upholding procedural norms during the suspect\u2019s appearance in court.
