DHL Express Singapore has entered into a strategic partnership with Life Science Incubator to support capability building and international growth for Singapore\u2019s life sciences and deep-tech ecosystem.<\/p>\n
The partnership will focus on LSI@Elementum, Life Science Incubator\u2019s incubator and co-working laboratory facility, where DHL Express will provide specialised logistics support and knowledge-sharing for startups, SMEs, research teams and other life sciences and healthcare stakeholders.<\/p>\n
DHL Express will showcase healthcare logistics capabilities including cold-chain solutions, time-critical logistics and shipment-handling best practices.<\/p>\n
Its temperature-controlled packaging can provide ultra-low temperature protection of up to -196\u00b0C, supporting the integrity of highly sensitive biological materials.<\/p>\n
The company will also support the transport of biological and healthcare shipments including blood samples, clinical trial materials and biologics classified under UN3373 Category B through its DHL Medical Express service.<\/p>\n
Dedicated pick-up and drop-off services will be made available to LSI tenants, providing companies with direct access to DHL\u2019s international logistics network.<\/p>\n
The collaboration is also intended to develop a model that can support businesses operating within the wider Biopolis and Buona Vista life sciences cluster.<\/p>\n
DHL said the aim is to reduce logistics and cross-border barriers that can emerge as early-stage companies move towards commercialisation and international expansion.<\/p>\n
Through its GoTrade programme, DHL will conduct workshops and training sessions covering international trade, market-entry strategies, supply-chain management and cross-border regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n
Planned activities include guidance on healthcare logistics, international shipping requirements and the handling of temperature-controlled packaging for life sciences and healthcare shipments.<\/p>\n
\u201cLogistics is a critical part of the supply chain network for the life-science and healthcare industry, requiring extremely dedicated handling of time-critical and temperature-sensitive shipments,\u201d said Christopher Ong, Managing Director, DHL Express Singapore.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs these innovators progress to commercialization, many may encounter logistics challenges \u2013 from regulatory compliance to managing sensitive cross-border shipments.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added that the partnership is intended to bring specialised healthcare logistics expertise closer to the point of innovation.<\/p>\n
Aakash S\/O Naresh Kumar, Lab Community Manager at Life Science Incubator, said the collaboration expands the support available to companies within the incubator\u2019s ecosystem.<\/p>\n

DHL continues to expand life sciences logistics capabilities across Singapore and Asia Pacific, including a \u20ac10 million Pharma Hub in Singapore supporting advanced cold-chain infrastructure and temperature-controlled storage.<\/p>\n
