\t\t\t\tAccording to our spy photographer partners, the 2027 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Electric (EQ) has dropped some of its camouflage and reveals new details when seen travelling around N\u00fcrburg in Germany on its way from the test center to the N\u00fcrburgring Nordschleife<\/a>.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

The German automaker Mercedes-Benz has kicked off another EV revolution among its ranks after the EQ idea fell through the floor due to bad sales. Its new exponents are the latest CLA and the GLC Electric, plus the all-new first-ever C-Class Electric, the smaller CLA featuring the Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) platform, while the larger GLC and C-Class Electrics rock the MB.EA architecture.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not long before other models will follow, and our spies<\/a> have again caught the upcoming 2027 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Electric (EQ) while undergoing prototype testing in camouflage attire. This time around, the latest and most revealing spy shots of the 2027 Mercedes-Benz E-Class reveal a prototype with slightly less camouflage and newly revealed design details.<\/p>\n

For starters, the thick plastic camouflage has finally been removed, and the new headlamp design is visible for the first time. Whilst the stars in the headlamps remain as daytime running lights, the rear lights feature a completely new design with straight lines instead of two LED three-pointed stars on each side, encircled by their semi-circular LED rings, as seen on the GLC and C-Class Electric models.<\/p>\n

The new all-electric Mercedes-Benz E-Class is expected to make its official debut either late this year or early in 2027, with the new model succeeding the independent EQE sedan model, which has no planned successor. Basically, Mercedes-Benz is returning to a more unified lineup, in which the electric variant remains visually, though not conceptually, closer to the classic ICE-powered models.<\/p>\n

Our spies have captured the electric E-Class while travelling around Germany\u2019s famous town close to the N\u00fcrburgring Nordschleife, to and from the Green Hell and back to the testing facility. While at first we expect fans to have trouble recognizing the E-Class Electric<\/a> from the C-Class Electric, there are tell-tale signs, nevertheless: the retro-inspired supersized and illuminated grille panel may be mostly the same, but the GLC Electric and C-Class Electric only feature one three-pointed LED star in each headlight, whereas the E-Class Electric features two.<\/p>\n

Also, the new rear taillight design will make it easy to set them apart from that point of view, though it remains to be seen if the same will happen when someone sees both cars from the profile.
