The 126th U.S. Open kicks off on Thursday at Shinnecock Hills as Dallas’ Scottie Scheffler attempts to complete the career Grand Slam.
It’s the sixth time the New York setting has hosted the U.S. Open, and it’s the only course to host an Open in three centuries.
J.J. Spaun returns as the tournament’s defending champion after last year’s win at Oakmont, while Brooks Koepka is the last U.S. Open champion at Shinnecock.
