The 126th edition of the U.S. Open will feature eight Georgia Bulldogs in the 156-player field. Georgia is easily the most well-represented college golf program on the PGA Tour The U.S. Open is being played at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York, from June 18-21.

The last UGA golfer to win a major was Brian Harman at The Open in 2023. Russell Henley finished tied for third with 10-under at the Masters this year. Henley is in good form and is the most recent Georgia golfer to get a PGA Tour win. He won the Charles Schwab Challenge in Forth Worth, Texas, in late May. Henley is the No. 5 ranked golfer in the world and is a popular pick to win the U.S. Open.

In the most recent major, the PGA Championship, Harris English had a top-20 finish, which was best among former Georgia golfers. English (No. 22), Sepp Straka (No. 18) and Henley (No. 5) are all ranked among the world’s top-25 golfers.
