Scottie Scheffler will have some work to do Sunday if he wants to capture another major milestone.

The Highland Park product is still chasing his career Grand Slam. He already owns wins in three of golf’s major championships, claiming victories in the Masters (2022, 2024), the PGA Championship (2025) and the Open Championship (2025). The only major tournament left to conquer is the U.S. Open.

As Scheffler chases another historic marker, here’s a look at the golfers who have secured a career Grand Slam and when they accomplished the feat:

Gene Sarazen (1935): Won the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship in 1922. Added an Open Championship to his ledger in 1932. Finished off the Grand Slam with a Masters win in 1935.

Gary Player (1965): Won the Open Championship in 1959. Added a Masters win in 1961 and PGA Championship win in 1962. Got the Grand Slam with a U.S. Open win in 1965.

Jack Nicklaus (1966): Won the U.S. Open in 1962, then won the Masters and the PGA Championship in 1963. Secured the Grand Slam with a 1966 Open Championship victory.

Tiger Woods (2000): Won the Masters in 1997, then won the PGA Championship in 1999. Secured the Grand Slam with U.S. Open and Open Championship wins in 2000.

Rory McIlroy (2025): Won the U.S. Open in 2011, then won the PGA Championship in 2012. He won the Open Championship in 2014, then endured an 11-year wait to close out the Grand Slam with a 2025 Masters win.
