Weather delays Round 2 start at Travelers Championship

  • June 26, 2026

CROMWELL, Conn. (WFSB) – Rain moved into the Travelers Championship on Friday morning, replacing the perfect conditions from the previous days.

Tee times were impacted as 6:45 a.m.

Organizers delayed them by 30 minutes.

However, gates at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell still open at 7:30 a.m.

Round 2 pairings and tee times

Spectators were advised to plan ahead. Those with a favorite golfer should check tee times before arriving.

The first pairing was scheduled to tee off at 8:45 a.m. following the rain delay.

Scottie Scheffler is scheduled to tee off at 11:10 a.m. Eric Cole, the leader after Round 1, tees off at 12:25 p.m.

“Make sure you’re here and ready to go at the first tee well before they call his name,” a tournament report said.

The leaderboard so far

Cole was in the lead after Round 1 on Thursday.

He pitched in for eagle from 65 yards on the par-5 13th and posted a 7-under 63 to take a one shot lead over Scottie Scheffler and five other golfers.

Fans advised to look for their spots on the course ahead of time

Casual fans looking to explore the course were advised that holes 15, 16, and 17 offer the best viewing areas.

Traffic has worsened each day of the tournament. On Wednesday morning, colleagues traveling from Channel 3’s station in nearby Rocky Hill to the Travelers entrance took about 40 minutes, compared to the usual 7-minute drive. GPS showed wait times as long as 90 minutes at one point.

“Traffic really is the worst in the morning,” the report said.
