In preparation for next week’s 154th Open Championship, the game’s top players will be teeing it up at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland, this week for the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open, a co-sanctioned event between the PGA Tour and DP World Tour. Below, we search for the best value prop bets for the Genesis Scottish Open and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions before the first round begins Thursday morning.

Scottie Scheffler (+600), who won last year’s Open Championship, is the favorite to win the Scottish Open this week. He’s the only player with odds shorter than +1000; Rory McIlroy has the second-best odds at +1000, followed by Jon Rahm (+1600) and Matt Fitzpatrick (+1800).

The Renaissance Club is a newer course that just opened in 2007. This will be its eighth time hosting the Scottish Open, with this being the fifth year as a PGA Tour-DP World Tour co-sanctioned event. The course is 7,282 yards long and a par 70, with 3 par-5s and 5 par-3s. Chris Gotterup (+2800) won last year at 15-under par, beating the rest of the field by 2 shots.

Rory McIlroy (+200)

In his last 3 starts at the Scottish Open, Rory has finished first, fourth and second. He’s an outstanding links golf player, and this course fits him particularly well because it still rewards him for his high ball flight and length off the tee. McIlroy skipped the Travelers Championship in order to begin his Open Championship prep, playing Royal Birkdale 2 weeks ago, so he’s been in the area for some time now.

Tyrrell Hatton (+500)

Hatton hasn’t finished worse than T-24 in his last 3 starts at the Scottish Open, with his best being a T-6 in 2023; he hasn’t played here in the last 2 years. He’s another player who tends to play well on links courses and he should be considered one of the favorites this week.

Gotterup just won the John Deere Classic and now heads to the site of his Scottish Open win last year. He flew up the leaderboard at TPC Deere Run on Sunday with a final-round 62, putting him in excellent form as he heads to Scotland. With his combination of ball striking and above-average putting, Gotterup should be in the mix this week.

Robert MacIntyre (+250)

MacIntyre has seemingly turned things around after a terrible few months where his best finish was 42nd in a 6-start stretch. In his last tournament, he tied came in 10th at the Travelers Championship, largely thanks to his 1.29 strokes gained on approach. The 2024 champion and 2023 runner-up should be in contention come Sunday.

Tommy Fleetwood (+188)

Fleetwood had finishes of fourth and sixth at this tournament in 2022 and 2023 before tying for 34th in each of the last 2 seasons. His recent form has been good, too, finishing between fourth and 14th in 4 straight starts since missing the cut at the PGA Championship.

Penge is back after taking over a month to focus on his health due to vertigo symptoms and a viral infection. He finished runner-up here last year, tied with McIlroy, in what was his tournament debut. The long-hitting Englishman, if healthy, could be a sleeper this week.

Kristoffer Reitan (+188)

Reitan played this event for the first time last year, tying for 13th in his debut. At the Travelers Championship last month, he tied for 22nd, which was a good showing at a short course where quality iron play was essential.

Tom Kim (+240)

Kim has been excellent at this tournament in his career, which is somewhat unusual because he isn’t exactly pegged as a links player. He finished third in his debut in 2022, followed by a T-6, T-15 and T-17 in the last 3 years. He’s gained strokes on approach in 10 of his last 11 starts this season, an example of just how well he’s striking his irons.

Chris Gotterup (-105) vs. Ludvig Aberg (-118)

Aberg had been hot going into the Memorial Tournament but he’s gone 39th, 17th and 55th in his last 3 starts. Gotterup is the defending champion and fresh off a win at the John Deere, yet he’s still the underdog in this matchup.

Kristoffer Reitan (-110) vs. Kurt Kitayama (-110)

Kitayama’s ball striking has been great, but his putter has a tendency to go cold, losing strokes on the green at the U.S. Open and Travelers. Reitan is great off the tee and above average on approach, with a putter that usually hovers around the median in terms of strokes gained.

Si Woo Kim (+300) is the favorite in this market, with a few other long shots listed below Tom Kim at +333. Tom Kim’s play on links courses serves him well, while Si Woo has struggled at times at courses like this one (MC-T26-T34 in last 3 Genesis Scottish Open starts).

Min Woo Lee won here in 2021, but since then, he’s missed the cut, tied for 35th and finished 73rd in his last 3 starts at the Scottish Open. Scott, meanwhile, finished second in 2024 and 17th last year after missing the cut in 2023. Lee’s putter has also gone ice cold, losing at least 0.95 strokes on the green in his last 3 starts (2 missed cuts and a T-62).

Genesis Scottish Open – First-round leaderWyndham Clark (+4000)

Clark is 16th on the PGA Tour in first-round scoring average (69.9) and is playing a course he’s had success at before: T16, T-25, T-10, T-11. Not to mention, he just won the U.S. Open and then finished fifth at the Travelers Championship. He could come out firing and drain a bunch of putts to go low early.
