The 36-hole cut has come and gone and now it’s on to Moving Day at the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open in North Berwick. Some surprising names missed the cut, including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. World No. 2 Rory McIlroy is among those tied the lead.

The trio of Rory McIlroy, Tom Kim and Jordan Smith all sit at 9 under.
“I thought I played well again. You know, the wind definitely got up for us in the afternoon. We got off to a really nice start,” McIlroy said. “Then, sort of by the turn, the wind had got to hit strongest and felt like it was hard to get the ball close to the pins and we were all making a lot of pars out there.”
Two first-round leaders went on to miss the cut
The lead was shared by five golfers after 36 holes but two of them bumbled around the yard on Friday and missed the cut, along with several other notable golfers.

The Scottish has a $9 million total prize fund, with $1.62 million going to the victor.
