Sunday will be a marathon for those contending at the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open.

Saturday’s action faced two separate lengthy fog delays, so many players will have to return to the Renaissance Club early Sunday morning to finish the third round before the final round can begin. At the time play was suspended, dozens were still in contention, all chasing the two co-leaders, Matt Fitzpatrick and Michael Thorbjornsen.

It has been nearly three years since Tom Kim last won on the PGA Tour, but that streak is over. He takes the Genesis Scottish Open with a stellar 64 in the final round. Tied for the lowest round of the day and the only player to finish bogey-free in the final round.

The 16th hole is playing as the most difficult during the final round. Someone tell Tom Kim that. He hits arguably a winning shot into the hole to 6 feet and goes two ahead with two holes to play.

Min Woo Lee gets within one

Tom Kim sits at 16 under with three holes to play, but Min Woo Lee birdies the 14th to move to 15 under and only a shot back. Matt Fitzpatrick is two behind.

Another birdie for Tom Kim, and he has a three-shot lead with six holes to play.

Tom Kim has the solo lead, sitting at 15 under and leading Min Woo Lee and Matt Fitzpatrick by two shots as the lead group makes the turn. Kim birdied the 10th hole to move two ahead.

Matt Fitzpatrick rejoins leaders

Matt Fitzpatrick is in search of his fourth victory this year. With his latest birdie at the fifth, he’s back tied for first alongside Tom Kim.

Tom Kim takes solo lead

Seeking his first win in nearly three years, Tom Kim has moved in front of the field at 13 under, one ahead of Matt Fitzpatrick, Bobby MacIntyre and Min Woo Lee after a pair of birdies in his first four holes.

Bobby Mac takes solo lead

A birdie on the first, combined with a bogey from Matt Fitzpatrick on the second, and the Scot has the solo lead looking for his second Scottish Open title in the past three years.

Rory McIlroy begins hot in final round at Scottish

it was not a good Saturday (well, third round) for Rory, who moved backward and was six shots behind beginning the final round after being tied for the lead after 36 holes. His final round has started much better, birdieing three of his first four holes to move within three shots.

The Scottish Open has a $9 million total prize fund, with $1.62 million going to the victor.

What else does the winner of the Scottish Open get?

If not already qualified, the Scottish Open champ gains entry into the 2026 Open Championship. Further, the Scottish winner also earns an invitation to the 2027 Masters, something that was new last year when Chris Gotterup won the Scottish. It was part of an expanded invitational list of several national opens around the globe.
