Former Saints striker James Beattie and popular YouTuber and former Soccer AM presenter Peter Dale, better known as Tubes, have just completed an extraordinary charity golf challenge.
The pair played 18 holes across 18 different golf courses along the South Coast in a single day, combining their shared passion for golf with a commitment to supporting a charity close to their hearts.
Tubes was particularly keen to raise funds and the profile of Wessex Heartbeat after himself suffering a heart attack around a decade ago.

He said: “This challenge means a lot to me personally. Having suffered a heart attack ten years ago, I know just how important the work of charities like Wessex Heartbeat is.
“I’ve been very open about my experience because if sharing my story helps even one person take their heart health seriously, it’s worth it. To be able to combine that message with a day of golf, alongside one of my best mates, while raising money for such a fantastic cause is something I’m really proud to be part of.”
James Beattie added: “Golf has given both of us so many great experiences over the years, so it felt right to use our love of the game to give something back. Playing 18 holes on 18 different courses in one day is a challenge, so to raise thousands of pounds for Wessex Heartbeat and encourages people to support such an incredible charity, was worth it.
The 19 hour challenge has so far raised £5,500 for the charity, which supports cardiac patients and their families in Hampshire and beyond with care, accommodation, and funding for research and equipment.
The charity challenge began at Boundary Lakes at the Utilita Bowl and finished at Remedy Oak Golf Club in Wimborne.
Throughout the day, golfers had the opportunity to donate and play alongside Beatts and Tubes.
Peter Cooper Motor Group provided an electric Kia EV9 and a dedicated driver to transport the pair around. They were joined by managing director Darren Cooper for the first three holes.
