One of the country’s biggest golf content creators is to go head-to-head with a Newark pro at the town’s historic club.
Social media star Peter Finch will take on Newark PGA professional Ryan Blanchard in a challenge match on July 31 at Newark Golf Club.
Ryan is one of just five golf professionals chosen to take part in Finch’s popular Head Pro Challenge series, which has become a firm favourite among golf fans across his social media platforms and YouTube channel.

The series showcases some of the best club pros from around the country as they go up against Finch in a competitive and entertaining match-play format.
Having successfully applied to be involved in the latest series, Ryan will now have the opportunity to test his game against one of golf’s most recognisable digital personalities, and his online audience made up of hundreds of thousands of viewers from around the world.
Ryan said: “I really didn’t expect to be chosen, but it’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase our club to a wider audience.
“Pete has done an incredible job of growing the game through his content, and I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”
Golf enthusiasts are invited to go along and watch the action unfold in person, with both visitors and members welcome.
