The 109th PGA Championship will be held on May 17-23, 2027, at PGA Frisco. It is the first PGA Championship to be played at the home of the PGA of America. Organizers said limited tickets and volunteer opportunities are available for the first men’s major championship in North Texas in more than 60 years.
Ticket purchases have reached record levels nearly a year from the event.
“The excitement surrounding the 2027 PGA Championship at PGA Frisco continues to build,” Jason Mengel, Championship Director, said. “We’ve seen tremendous demand from spectators, companies and volunteers who want to be part of this historic Championship. Remaining inventory is becoming increasingly limited, so we encourage those who are interested in witnessing the action at Fields Ranch East to act now.”
Organizers of the event said they are expecting to attract 200,000 people, while they broadcast coverage to nearly 500 million households in more than 170 countries.
Volunteer interest has also been strong, with all committees filled except the PGA Shops Committee.
“The extraordinary response we’ve seen reflects the excitement surrounding the return of men’s Major Championship golf to North Texas,” Blake Rowling, General Chair of the 2027 PGA Championship, said. “The 2027 PGA Championship is an opportunity to showcase PGA Frisco, our region and the hospitality that makes Texas such a special place to host one of the world’s premier sporting events.”
Limited tickets are still available for the week’s events.
