Shane Lowry and Peter O’Mahony enjoy a pint together.
Major season is finally over, and Shane Lowry is enjoying holidaying with friends and family before the PGA hamster-wheel kicks back into gear again.
Last month, the 2019 Open Champion jetted out to Greece with his wife Wendy to spend time with their great pals Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll.
This week, the Lowry’s are enjoying home comforts as he headed down to Cork to spend time with former Ireland rugby star Peter O’Mahony and his wife Jessica.
The couple’s travails have been documented on Jessica and Wendy’s Instagram pages, and it looks like the two couples have had a ball of a time down in the land of the Rebels.

The Lowry’s and O’Mahony’s enjoy each other’s company on holidays.
Shane and Peter even had time sink a pint of Murphy’s (or two) as is traditional when one travels to that part of the country.
For Lowry, his schedule break comes at the end of what has been a frustrating season in the majors.
The hero of Portrush seven years ago was going well at the Masters before shooting a high score on the final day to kill his chances of securing a green jacket, with the Offaly man struggling to find his best form in the final three majors of the year.
As for O’Mahony, his days on the rugby pitch are over, but the former Ireland star has been present on our screens as a pundit on Virgin Media, and is cultivating a reputation for being just as no nonsense on the TV screen as he was on the rugby field.
Lowry will return to action in the coming weeks as the race for the FedEx Cup heats up. He will be back on these shores next month for the Irish Open in September.
