PEOPLE are being urged to get golfing in the great outdoors at Mytime Active’s West Midlands courses.
Whether a seasoned pro striving to beat their latest score or someone simply looking to while away a Sunday afternoon outside with the children, everyone is welcome at Mytime Active’s golf courses.
And there are so many golfing options to choose from – from the Lickey Hills Golf Course on the Bromsgrove and Birmingham border to Hatchford Brook Golf Centre and Gym in Sheldon.
Others include Pype Hayes Golf Course and Gym, Boldmere Golf Course, Cocks Moors Woods Golf Course, Kings Heath and Harborne Church Farm Golf Course.
There are plenty of beautiful greens to choose from and the chance to enjoy the great outdoors.
If time is a barrier, the nine-hole courses at Harborne Church Farm offer an express option, taking around two hours compared to four hours.

If more time is available, Mytime Active’s 18-hole courses are perfect.
Or for an even quicker session, people can try out the driving range at Hatchford Brook to perfect skills, day or night, in just half an hour – no matter the English weather.
State-of-the-art Toptracer ball tracking technology also allows players to accurately track and analyse every shot – just as the professionals do.

The great escape
Golf can be a great escape for so many reasons.
Mytime Active member Pat Lucas, 77, said: “I took up golf at Pype Hayes Golf Course when I was 50.
“I had no ideawhat I was doing; I just started hitting the ball and thought it was good fun.
“I now play with the ladies’ section every week.”

When Pat’s husband passed away and she found herself on her own after 50 years of marriage, her Thursday golf gave her a reason to get out of the house.
She added: “Golf is very mindful – when you’re playing you forget everything else – you can’t worry or stress about your problems – and it helped to be around people who knew him.
“I would never do the exercise without it, and there’s always a social event on the horizon.”
