Matt Henwood’s 74 led the way on countback from Anaru Reedy, with Simon Jeune third on 77 on countback from Craig Palmer.
The cut-throat intermediate division attracted 41 entries vying for the top 16 spots.
Alex Meban’s 80 earned him the No. 1 ranking on countback from Kelly Spring, with club captain Peter Hakiwai third on 82 on countback from Richard Foon.
Meban would have qualified sixth had he been in the senior division.
Kit Goldsmith’s 92 was best of the 14 junior qualifiers, with Cary Hensley (93) second and Duncan Bush (94) third. One unfortunate junior’s card featured an 18 on the par 5 12th … also known as a tredecuple bogey.
William Edginton shot 102 to top the endeavour division from Brent Croskery (103) and Brian Read (106).
Qualifying was also round 3 of the Dodgshun Cup gross series, with the fourth and final round played on Sunday.
Stefan Andreassen won division 1 with a best-three-rounds total of 244 (80, 81, 83).
Reedy, who did not play in round 2, would have won Division 1 by a country mile but failed to push the Dodgshun Cup entry “yes” option on the pro shop digital system for round 3. His 74 that day would have gone with the 71 he had in round 1 and 74 in round 4 for a 219 total.
Brian Anderson delivered a home straight kick to win Division 2, shooting 79 in round 4 to go with 84 and 86 for a 249 total, four clear of Brent Colbert and Ross Chalmers.
Duncan Bush won Division 3 on 290 (94, 98, 98), two ahead of Craig Morton and Nigel Jones.

Jon Priestley is not defending his intermediate men’s club championship title.
He’s moved up to the big boys’ sandpit for the 2026 edition and faces one of the best of them in the first matchplay round of the senior division.
Regan Hindmarsh is the No. 1 seed after carding 2-under par 68, including five birdies, in round 2 of qualifying on Sunday.
Twenty shots back, 16th and bottom qualifier Priestley might want to read the David and Goliath passage of the Bible for inspiration before taking on Hindmarsh in the first round of matchplay.
The fact there were 16 entries was not lost on members. ’Tahi stalwart Eddie Brown Jnr said he could not recall having a full senior field in his time.
Reigning champion Hukanui Brown will look to make it a record eighth senior crowns in a row from the No. 2 spot after his Sunday 69.
Dwayne Russell was third with a 72 recorded in the first round the previous week (players who competed in both qualifying rounds counted their best score).
Beau Toa’s 79 topped the intermediate men by one stroke from Tony Sharp and 2025 junior champion Korban Harrison-Allen.

Mat Greeks won’t be retaining the junior men’s club championship title, but he is giving the intermediate honour a good go in 2026.
Greeks outgunned Mike Christophers 5 and 4 in their round of 16 match on Sunday – a result many weren’t picking.
Defending champion Steve Phillips fell at the first hurdle, beaten 4 and 3 by James Witika, Junior Akurangi got past Tim Beattie on the 18th and Shaun Pahina pipped Stephen Rolls in an 18-hole battle.
Matt Henwood is having to go the long route to get his hands on a first senior title. He was unable to qualify due to Tairāwhiti masters representative duty, so went to the bottom of the 11-man field.
It meant a first-round match against his Te Kanawa Cup-winning partner Craig Christophers, who after losing 6 and 5, joked that he won the seventh and 11th holes, “but pretty much lost every other hole”.
Anthony Pahina defeated Josh Hayes 3 and 2 and the match between Bailey Matoe and Chris Fox is being played on Friday.
Junior results were not available.
In the women’s champs, 22-time senior title winner Karen Hay went straight through to the final where she will meet either Carney Pipi or Kino White.
Tracey Ford, Min Vette and Raukura Chesley are into the women’s semis while Tai Aramakutu and Jean Foot will decide the fourth spot.
Holly Miller and Ash Tuari have filled two of the junior semi spots, awaiting the results of Chloe Carrington v Emma Hayes and Steph Hayes v Kath Papuni.
Nine-hole top qualifier and direct finalist Jodie Ferris will play the winner of the semi between Jess Rolls and Leanne Hollis.
