THE Maleny community is being encouraged to don their golf shoes and support a vital local cause at the annual Maleny Hospital Auxiliary Charity Golf Day, to be held on Friday August 14, at the Maleny Golf Club.

President of the Maleny Hospital Auxiliary Committee, Carol Lewis, said the event raises important funds for the Maleny Soldiers Memorial Hospital, while also bringing locals and visitors together for a social day on the green.

This year’s golf day is particularly special as it coincides with the opening of the club’s new clubhouse, adding extra excitement to what is already a much‑anticipated date on the community calendar.

The fundraiser will feature an 18‑hole, four‑ball Ambrose competition with a 9am shotgun start.

At $130 per player, the entry fee represents strong value, including two carts per team of four, fresh fruit and pastries on arrival, lunch, and entry into a day filled with golf prizes and raffles.

Participants can register online using a QR code available on the Maleny Golf Club website or Facebook page, as well as on the Maleny Hospital Auxiliary Facebook page.

Local businesses and individuals are also invited to get behind the event by sponsoring a hole on the 18‑hole course or donating items for raffles and prizes.

Those interested in sponsorship or prize donations can contact Carol Lewis on 0414 373 734.
