A man is facing murder and burglary charges Wednesday after three of his family members were found dead at a home in Moore County.

Deputies found three adults dead in a home in the 100 block of Ryder Cup Boulevard in Pinebluff Wednesday morning, according to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office. The deaths were determined to be the result of a homicide.

Bobby Farris, 63; Christina Aggelis, 62; and Trinity Thomas, 20, all died. Christina Aggelis was the mother of Demetrius Aggelis, who has been charged. Thomas was Demetrius’ niece and the granddaughter of Christina Aggelis.

The office said it appears that the three had gunshot and stab-type wounds.

Demetrius Aggelis, of Pinebluff, was arrested in connection with the deaths after deputies said they used Flock Safety cameras and other evidence to identify him. The 40-year-old was charged with three counts of murder and one count of first-degree burglary. He is in custody.

Court records indicate that Demetrius Aggelis has a history of violent offenses, including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Demetrius Aggelis reported that he had gone to the residence at 115 Ryder Cup Boulevard to pick up his stepfather, Bobby Farris, and take him to an airport for a scheduled flight. Demetrius Aggelis said that when he arrived, he found all three victims unresponsive.

While reviewing surveillance video, footage appeared to show an armed individual entering the victims’ home on Ryder Cup Boulevard shortly after 3:30 a.m. Investigators then reviewed data from the Flock Safety camera network to learn more about the vehicle they had linked to Demetrius Aggelis.

A Flock camera located around a mile from the murder site had captured the vehicle traveling toward the area of the victims’ residence minutes before the armed individual was observed entering the home. Minutes later, the footage showed the same vehicle traveling away from the area, refuting Demetrius Aggelis’ claims.

Demetrius Ageelis is set to appear in court next Wednesday. He is being held in the Moore County Detention Center without bond.

The official manner of death will be determined by the medical examiner.
