Scheffler was a hefty pre-tournament favorite to win, trading at around 22% before Thursday’s opening round teed off. The 2024 FedEx Cup champion is wrapping up another stellar season of play. He has bagged over $20.9M in winnings across 19 events, finishing in the Top 10 12 times and booking two victories: the season-opening American Express and the recent FedEx St. Jude Championship. While still in striking distance, three strokes to make up leaves him 20 points behind Hovland in current Kalshi probabilities.
Further down the list, McIlroy is at -10 and T7 with Young. McIlroy was the second choice on the price board ahead of the event, trading for a little south of 10%. After a quiet first two rounds, he rocketed into the Top 10 with a -7 in round three. Young struggled to even par in the first round but quickly rebounded with a -8 in round two. While the $10M top prize and season-long crown are the goal for all that remain in the hunt, there are some nice consolation prizes, including $5M to second place and at least $1M for the top eight finishers.
