Heading into the final round of the Tour Championship, Scottie Scheffler was certainly withing striking distance. Ahead of him were Viktor Hovland and Ryan Gerard, and tied with him were Ludvig Aberg, Chris Gotterup, and Adam Scott.
But like he usually does, Scheffler turned it on at the perfect moment. A -4 final round coincided with his rivals struggling to stick with him. Ultimately, Scheffler won yet another tournament. And with it, he made PGA Tour history.

Scottie Scheffler is now the top-earning PGA Tour player of all-time
Scheffler’s victory earned him $10 million, which put his career winnings to this point at $130,390,661. According to the PGA Tour’s official website, that vaulted him ahead of Tiger Woods – who was at $120,999,166 million – for No. 1 all-time in career earnings.
Of course, that number isn’t adjusted for inflation, so technically Woods would still be ahead of Scheffler if it was on equal terms. But Scheffler still has a long way to go in terms of earning potential. Currently ranked as the No. 1 golfer in the world, Scheffler is only 30 years old.
One can only imagine how much more money he can make for himself if he stays healthy and his game doesn’t, magically, fall off a cliff.
