Wilson is set to play \u201ca pro golfer who rivals Will Ferrell\u2019s character, having beaten him for the tour championship twice,\u201d per the official character description. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAlong with Ferrell and Wilson, the cast also includes Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortume Feimster, Chris Parnell, Katelyn Tarver, and David Hornsby. The show was originally announced in May 2024. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe role marks a reunion onscreen for Ferrell and Wilson. The two previously starred together in the hit comedy \u201cOld School\u201d as well as \u201cThe Wendell Baker Story,\u201d with Wilson also making cameos in Ferrell\u2019s films \u201cAnchorman\u201d and \u201cBlades of Glory.\u201d Wilson also starred in the Netflix dark comedy \u201cNo Good Deed,\u201d which Ferrell executive produced under his Gloria Sanchez Productions banner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWilson is also known for his early collaborations with Wes Anderson, including \u201cBottle Rocket\u201d \u201cThe Royal Tenenbaums,\u201d and \u201cRushmore.\u201d He has starred in other films like \u201cHorizon: An American Saga\u201d Parts 1 &amp; 2, two \u201cLegally Blonde\u201d films, \u201cIdiocracy,\u201d and \u201cThe Skeleton Twins.\u201d In television, aside from \u201cNo Good Deed,\u201d he has starred in shows like DC\u2019s \u201cStargirl,\u201d \u201cThat \u201970s Show,\u201d \u201cEnlightened,\u201d and \u201cRoadies.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHe is repped by WME. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNetflix has ordered 10 episodes of the golf series, which will be Ferrell\u2019s first TV starring role. Ferrell executive produces along with Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor for Gloria Sanchez Productions. Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman and Nena Rodrigue are executive producers for T-Street.
