After winning the previous two Bahamas events by a combined nine(!) strokes, Scheffler <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pgatour.com\/article\/news\/betting-dfs\/2025\/12\/01\/odds-outlook-scottie-scheffler-heavy-betting-favorite-win-third-straight-hero-title-pga-tour-2025-tiger-woods\" class=\"editorial-link-no-style\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">is the heavy favorite<\/a> of the 20-player field to win the Tiger Woods-hosted event once again.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the Albany tournament attracts the best the sport has to offer. Scheffler will be teeing off against recent U.S. Open champ J.J. Spaun, fellow top-10 pros like Robert MacIntyre and Harris English, plus upper-echelon talent such as Keegan Bradley, Justin Rose and Sepp Straka. When your tournament invites are Jordan Spieth, Akshay Bhatia and Billy Horschel, you know you\u2019re in for some good golf.<\/p>\n<p>Scheffler tied the tournament scoring record last year with a 25-under 263 total, besting runner-up Tom Kim by six shots. That helped allow him to become the first golfer since Tiger Woods to spend an entire calendar year ranked No. 1 in the world. (By the way, he&#8217;s done that again here in 2025.)<\/p>\n<p>This week&#8217;s winner will receive a $1 million cut of the $5 million purse.
