JoJo Siwa is battling concussion and has been forced to go on bed rest after falling off a golf cart in a nasty accident last week.<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old dancer and reality TV star suffered the accident while preparing for a cruise event later this month, and took to her Instagram page to offer fans a health update.<\/p>\n
In the video, she said that she was turning left when the wheel of the golf cart locked, causing the vehicle to malfunction and flip over.<\/p>\n
She hit her head, which led to the concussion, but told her followers that she\u2019s \u201creally lucky\u201d that she wasn\u2019t more seriously injured in the fluke accident.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been a very long week,\u201d JoJo captioned the video.<\/p>\n
\u201cI fell off the golf cart last Monday. With rest, my concussion has been recovering well. No where near 100%, but on a good track.\u201d<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, JoJo has also ended up with a \u201cgnarly\u201d eye infection which she\u2019s managing by wearing an eye patch – but stressed the infection is completely unrelated to the golf cart accident.<\/p>\n
She did tell her fans that her eye \u201cis taking longer than expected to come round\u201d, meaning that her \u201clovely team of doctors\u201d are keeping a \u201cclose eye\u201d on her, as she prepares to return to rehearsals.<\/p>\n
JoJo continued: \u201cIt\u2019s definitely a bit early to be going back into everything, and I have to be very careful of not being 100% recovered\u2026 but the greatest saying in Hollywood, which I\u2019m realising to be true, the show must go on.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you see me with sunglasses on, just know, I\u2019m not being a drama diva, just taking care of my eye giving it a bit of relief.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe patch I found after a few days to be a bit difficult with the concussion recovery so only wear it now if I need a complete light break!\u201d<\/p>\n
She concluded: \u201cThank you for the lovely messages, I\u2019ve been down the last few days dealing with this and feeling a little bit bummed but I\u2019ve seen lots online that has made me smile so thank you for that.\u201d<\/p>\n
People were quick to comment on JoJo\u2019s post, with one referring to the star\u2019s world-famous range of hair bows, as they wrote: \u201cHonestly the eye patch could become an accessory. Just add a few rhinestones. So glad you are on the mend.<\/p>\n
Another added: \u201cThe show must go on! But please be careful. Too early from recovery and the show may not go on for long.<\/p>\n
