Mickelson was confronted about the issue while he was in the middle of his round, and \u201ctold to vacate the premises,\u201d Golf Digest reported Thursday.<\/p>\n
Mickelson declined to comment on the allegations, according to Golf Digest, but a spokesperson for the three-time Masters champion told the outlet, \u201cAny misunderstanding has been cleared up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mickelson has been married to his wife Amy for 30 years.<\/p>\n
The Farms Golf Club, meanwhile, said in a statement that all of its \u201cmembers are required to adhere to our Code of Conduct, and any allegations of misconduct are taken seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing a staff member report of member misconduct, the Club provided immediate and ongoing support to the staff member, conducted a thorough independent investigation of the incident and took decisive action,\u201d a rep for The Farms told Golf Digest. \u201cThis individual is no longer a member of The Farms Golf Club.<\/p>\n

Mickelson has been away from the professional golf since he announced in February that he needed to tend to a family matter.<\/p>\n
His spokesperson said he\u2019s continuing to attend to that matter \u201cand is uncertain when he will be able to return to professional golf.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mickelson has had a long-standing relationship with The Farms. According to Golf Digest, he played there regularly over the years, and it also \u201cserved as his primary training ground before major championships.\u201d<\/p>\n
He actually had a display inside the business\u2019 clubhouse, though Golf Digest reported Thursday it\u2019s since been removed in wake of his ban.<\/p>\n
Tom Clare, a defamation attorney representing Mickelson, added in a statement to the outlet that there was \u201ca great deal of misinformation circulating\u201d around Mickelson\u2019s alleged incident with the employee.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile Phil\u2019s full attention is devoted to a private family health matter,\u201d Clare said, \u201che has retained defamation counsel and is determined to hold accountable any publication or individual trafficking in speculation or false rumours.\u201d<\/p>\n
