As he competes at the Players Championship, Cameron Young will be cheered on by his family\u2014including his wife Kelsey and their children.<\/p>\n

His mom Barbara, said<\/a>, \u201cThere have been a lot of life changes in about five years when you go from not having a tour card to all of a sudden getting your card and getting married and having three children. It\u2019s quite remarkable to me that he\u2019s been able to play at this level knowing everything he has on his plate, but he and Kelsey really seem to have a good handle on it, and they\u2019re managing it well. It\u2019s really great to see him playing like this right now, and to see what a great dad and husband he is, too. The fans don\u2019t know that because he\u2019s so quiet, but he’s a remarkable dad and husband, and we\u2019re real proud of him for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple are very private; neither have public social media accounts. Here, what to know about Cameron Young\u2019s wife Kelsey Young (n\u00e9e Dalition):<\/p>\n

Cameron and Kelsey knew each other from Garrison, New York but started dating while they were students at Wake Forest. \u201cWe\u2019ve known her family since we lived in Garrison. I played hockey for her dad and with her brother,\u201d Cameron said<\/a>. \u201cThey\u2019re not a golf family at all so Kelsey is kind of still learning the ropes. It\u2019s actually great for me, because the last thing I want to do when I get home is answer questions like, \u2018Why\u2019d you pull a 9-iron on 16?\u2019 That would make my head explode, so that\u2019s been a blessing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelsey and Cameron married in 2021.<\/p>\n

They tied the knot<\/a> in March 2021. \u201cWhen he\u2019s on the golf course, he\u2019s awfully focused,\u201d his dad David said<\/a> in June 2021. \u201cGetting married helped. There\u2019s another part of his life now that\u2019s not attached to how well he plays every day. It\u2019s been a joy to him and we\u2019ve seen that in his personality. But on the golf course, he\u2019s pretty well-focused and works really hard. It doesn\u2019t look like he\u2019s having much fun, but the results are fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelsey and Cameron have three children: Henry, John, and Vivienne. Cameron\u2019s dad David says<\/a> Cameron is \u201ca dad first and a golfer second and that\u2019s made him focus doing his job efficiently so he can be the dad he wants to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cameron is focused on his family. \u201cWe have three kids, and some of the guys around my age are having their first or having a second,\u201d he told Town & Country<\/a>. \u201cSo you get the odd question, \u2018What\u2019s your biggest thing going from one to two, or from no kids to having your first one?\u2019 And my main thing usually is: \u2018You\u2019ll figure it out.\u201d\u2019And two, just to really appreciate the times that you do get with just your wife or just even just one child, because it really is special. For us, if I ever get to have one of our kids at a time, it\u2019s a huge treat. They\u2019re all amazing individually, and it\u2019s only when they\u2019re all together that it sometimes feels overwhelming. But any moment after they\u2019ve gone to sleep and it\u2019s me and my wife downstairs cleaning up after the day, just to be grateful for that time that you get to spend because it is fleeting. And I\u2019ve really tried to make sure that I enjoy it as much as I can.\u201d<\/p>\n
